I first came across this bag back in August when it first launched. At that time, only one colourway was available, the signature canvas & calf-leather with snakeskin details on the side:

Retails in Malaysia for RM4,090, and I think for a bag with exotic leather, that's a pretty reasonable price!

Although it was pretty, the SA told me that more colours would be coming, and they would be more uniform/monochromatic. She specifically told me that one colour is gray and looks very similar to Hermes' popular Etoupe shade.
Fast forward to October, the rest of the Idol bags have launched in Malaysia and retail for RM3,900.

As I mentioned in the video, I love the versatility of this bag! With a detachable shoulder chain + leather crossbody strap, it gives you the best of both worlds.
I like the aged gold/brass hardware, and I think it's great that it's not shiny. After using this for a while now, wearing it on the shoulder is great and I love how the chain doesn't dig into my shoulder/doesn't feel painful like my other thin-chain bags.
As a crossbody bag, it's pretty much an exact dupe of the Hermes Constance and Celine Classic bag. The size is slightly smaller (measuring at 21cm long), but with the outside pocket/inner flap/interchangeable straps, I think it's more versatile than those bags.
In terms of leather, as usual Coach doesn't disappoint. It's not as soft as their signature glovetanned leather, and I love the more rigid/structured feel of the leather. Since it is shiny, you do have to take a bit more care. However I like that the sheen is almost reminiscent of box leather,
Overall I'm very happy with this bag, and it's been my recent go-to bag for the weekends! Looks cool/chic + this Dark Stone colour is super easy to pair with my neutral wardrobe.
