Hi guys, today I'll be sharing all about Hennessy's 2023 Chinese New Year Collection, as well as the Lunar Wonderland Festival event I attended!

Maison Hennessy embraces the Year of the Rabbit with a special collaboration with renowned contemporary artist Yan Pei-Ming.

Honouring the Chinese New Year with a specially commissioned painting, La Grande Course features zodiac animals in cognac hues, translated into this year's limited edition festive packaging.

La Grande Course, a vibrant composition inspired partly by an epic saga from Hollywood’s golden era, shows the zodiac bestiary galloping in unison, evoking a message of freedom, inclusion, and interconnectedness. For the first time in his remarkable career, Yan Pei-Ming ventures into a new palette: amber, orange, russet, and burgundy tones take pride of place in a composition that nods to the amber and mahogany hues of Hennessy X.O. The artist’s signature broad, sweeping brush strokes impart a sense of universality, immediacy, and adventure.

In 1870, Maurice Hennessy, a 4th-generation member of the Hennessy family, asked the Master Blender Emile Fillioux, a descendant of the Hennessy Master Blender Jean Fillioux, to create a special cognac for his family and friends, using long-aged eaux-de-vie to perfect the blend. They called it “X.O” for “Extra Old”, the original, and a legend was born. As for Hennessy Malaysia's Lunar Wonderland Festival, it was held at Menara KEN in TTDI. The invitation-only gastronomic affair happened today February 3rd & continues till February 4th.
