Hi guys, today I'll be sharing all about THE FACE SHOP's brand new Yehwadam Plum Flower Revitalizing Line.
If you're not already familiar with it, Yehwadam is THE FACE SHOP's anti-ageing line and the name is actually an acronym consisting of 3 words that represent the philosophy of the line:
YE (蘂): herbs and plants
HWA (花): flower
DAM (譚): story.
As we all have different skin types, different skin concerns and different ages, it's only natural that we use products that cater to our specific concerns and needs. There is no product that can do everything, but to cover all our anti-ageing bases, THE FACE SHOP has created several different lines under the Yehwadam umbrella, and these different lines all have different benefits + cater to specific ages and concerns. PACKAGING
Similar to the Artemisia Soothing Moisturizing Line, this new range comes with pastel packaging with very minimalist details. I love the letterpress + metallic details, and rest assured there are English descriptions to complement the Korean info on the boxes as well:

INGREDIENTS
As I mentioned above, this line of products contains Plum Flower extracts from South Jeolla. Plum Flower extracts help to improve hyaluronic acid production in the skin and helps our skin stay hydrated, and it also decreases the rate of melanin synthesis, helping our skin regain its brightness and clarity.
I also mentioned above that these products contain something called a Gyu-Hwa-Bang complex. This mix of products act as a special remedy in revitalizing the skin, and it consists of 3 main ingredients:
- Ginseng
An iconic medicinal herb in Korea, it has anti-oxidant properties that promote collagen synthesis to reactivate cells - Safflower
One of the greatest herbs used in traditional medicine, it helps to improve blood circulation, promote collagen production and prevent inflammation - Goji Berry
Known as the "ultimate herbal medicine for eternal youth", this ingredient helps to promote balanced skin, improve hydration and to reduce the signs of ageing

Plum Flower Revitalizing Toner

A refreshing toner that preps and hydrates skin, this product also contains Betaine and Trehalose to further hydrate the skin without irritating it.
The scent smells slightly floral and fresh, and it does linger. I'm not sure if those who don't like scent will like this, but personally, I don't mind it as it smells pleasant. It's clear and has a lightweight watery texture that absorbs quickly into the skin.
I would say this product is quite hydrating and perfect for both day and night because of its light texture. I personally do not see any extreme anti-ageing effects with this toner, but I do think it's quite hydrating. When paired with the rest of the products from this line, I think it helps to maximize the effect. On its own. I think it's a decent toner but you will need something a little bit more for substantial anti-ageing care.

Plum Flower Revitalizing Serum

A concentrated serum with stabilized Ceramides to strengthen skin’s barrier, this product also features a Post-It Technology that allows the serum to adhere to the skin without any sticky, heavy feeling.
It's paraben-free, sulfate-free, alcohol-free and contains minimal ingredients. It helps to promote wound healing thanks to the Panthenol in it, but it also helps to give more anti-ageing care with Adenosine. This serum contains highly moisturizing ingredients like Panthenol, Beta Glucan, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin and Propylene Glycol that I think most skin types will enjoy.
It has a slightly gel-like texture that is light and isn't sticky after it has absorbed into the skin. It's almost clear in colour and has a similar scent to the toner. I love how this product just sinks into my skin unlike other anti-ageing serums, and I think it works well for both the day and night (though it does leave the slightest of shine on the skin).
Overall I really like this as a day serum. I think the texture is perfect, and that those around my age or who are looking to start anti-ageing care will enjoy this. Personally, I prefer something thicker at night, but when layered on with a cream/eye cream at night I think the texture is great for layering.

Plum Flower Revitalizing Emulsion

A smoothening, nourishing emulsion that helps promote healthy skin, this product contains Lecithin emulsification technology that mimics the skin’s natural lipid structure for all-day moisture and comfort.
During the 2nd MCO in Melaka, I actually fully switched to using emulsions during the day because it just suit the temperature + was comfortable on my skin. I think emulsions are a great summer/hot weather product because the milky texture is comfortable and it leaves my skin feeling hydrated but lightweight. Not even kidding, I used to go for gels/light creams during the day because I always wanted max moisture, but emulsions showed me that you can actually trim down the number of morning products you use if the products you choose work well.
The texture is light and milky like I mentioned, and I love using it during the day/has encouraged me to not be lazy in applying my skincare in the morning hahaha.

Plum Flower Revitalizing Cream

A highly moisturizing cream that instantly forms a strong protective barrier, this product delivers lasting moisture to skin while helping to restore elasticity and vital energy.
Usually, when you think of anti-ageing creams you think that it's greasy & thick. When I opened this product and first did a spot test/swatch, I was a bit concerned because I thought it would be too thick. I found however that my oily skin actually reacts good to this product, but only during the night time. During the day I find it a bit too thick, and although it is not sticky or greasy, it does leave my skin feeling a bit TOO moisturized in the morning. It's great at night though! A little goes a long way, and this cream spreads very nicely. Once it's absorbed, it leaves the skin feeling plump, and I like how it has the faintest scent among the products in this line.
Along with being paraben and sulfate-free, it also contains minimal ingredients. One of the ingredients is Tocopherol or Vitamin E, which is great for anti-ageing. Overall I recommend this for those aged 25-35 with normal to dry skin type. Although I am still using it + quite like the effects of it, I would recommend those with oily skin to check out the Artemisia Line instead as I think you'll like that better.

Plum Flower Revitalizing Eye Cream

A balm-like eye cream that pampers the delicate eye area without any irritation, this product incorporates natural biomembrane technology which helps the active ingredients inside it to absorb effectively into the skin.
This actually came at a perfect time as I legit ran out of eye cream to use. The texture is indeed balm-like and I love how it sinks into the skin. It also has a very faint scent like the cream, but the thing I love about it the most is that it actually sinks into my skin and gives me that "secure" moist feeling! Because I ran out of eye cream, I went ahead and got different samples from different brands to try out. This specific one I got from Dior was so thick and so heavy that even after tapping it in/applying only a bit, I could see in the morning that it only sat on top of my skin/did not absorb.
I had no problems with this eye cream and I'm currently loving it. Maybe it's because of my age and my current skin condition, but I totally love how this eye cream's texture is perfect for me. I use it both day and night, and I swear when I wake up in the morning my eyes look fresh and radiant.

In terms of effects, I love the daily moisture and firming I get from these products. A feel super supple and firm at night when I use the cream & eye cream, but I'm surprised at how supple and firm my skin feels in the morning when I use the emulsion as well! As for brightening, I don't think I saw any dramatic skin tone changes, but I have been enjoying clear skin recently that looks even and healthy.
Overall I have enjoyed and am currently still enjoying using these products. Being 100% honest, I would recommend the emulsion, eye cream, serum and cream. The emulsion & eye cream are great for everyday use and you can use both during the day if you'd like. The serum and cream are great at night and if you're someone who doesn't mind scent in your products, I think you'll like these products too. I'm okay with the toner but I was not fully blown away by it. I'm still using it and I do think it's hydrating, but I don't think I would go out of my way to personally repurchase it once it's finished.
