Hi guys, today I'll be sharing all about the new Revitalift 1.5% Hyaluronic Acid Plumping Serum from L'Oreal Paris.
WHAT IS IT?
The Revitalift 1.5% Hyaluronic Acid Plumping Serum is L'Oreal's latest serum with their highest concentration of hyaluronic acid. Tested by dermatologists, this serum claims to absorbs fast, leaving the skin looking 42% more radiant just after 1 use.
The serum also aims to help boost Hyaluronic Acid production over time, and it contains not just 1 but 2 types of Hyaluronic Acid!

An analysis of the ingredients shows that they are mostly EWG-green/yellow rated, meaning they're highly unlikely to cause any irritations. This product is also paraben-free, sulfate-free, alcohol-free, silicone-free, EU allergen-free and contains minimal ingredients.

Our skin's natural hyaluronic acid levels deplete as we age, and this leads to loss of plumpness, dehydrated skin and fine lines. Using products with hyaluronic acid helps reduce the visibility of fine lines and wrinkles retaining moisture to the skin, creating a plumping effect. When the skin is protected and hydrated, increased skin cell production can take place, as the skin isn't busy fighting for hydration. This leads to smoother, plumper skin cells.
I mentioned above that this product has 2 types of hyaluronic acid, and those are namely Macro HA and Micro HA. Macro HA helps to intensely hydrate and smooth the skin's surface, while Micro HA penetrates deeply to re-plump lines from within.
FRAGRANCE & TEXTURE
The scent is minimal, and it has a transparent colour with a thin runny texture. It does absorb very quickly into the skin, and I find it quite comfortable to wear out in Malaysian weather.
HOW TO USE?
I use this serum after toning and before my moisturizer!
Cleanser - Toner - Serum - Moisturizer - Sunblock
L'Oreal advises avoiding applying this near the eyes/eye contours.
MY REVIEW & VERDICT
I think this serum is a decent hyaluronic acid serum fit for daily use. I quite like how nice and light texture is but how it still provides enough hydration for the day. Texture-wise it's not tacky, which is good, especially since we all wear face masks nowadays.
However, even though it is decent, I think it has its limitations as well. May it's just me, but I prefer something heavier and richer at night. You can use it as part of your evening routine, but personally I find myself layering more of it at night or topping up with another serum. I personally just prefer using more/thicker products at night.
In the end, I would recommend this to someone looking for a daily-use hydrating serum for the day. If you're someone older, you might want something heavier/with more anti-ageing ingredients. For teens/young adults, I think it will be nice to incorporate this during the day time.
WILL I REPURCHASE?
If I spot it at a nice price maybe, but now I do not think I will repurchase it, just because I have too many products and I wasn't 100% wowed by it.
