Hi guys! Today I'll be sharing my review of Summerie's hair & body products after using them for a while!
Derived from "summer" and "reverie", Summerie is a Malaysian brand exclusively sold in Guardian that carries soothing & nourishing hair + body products. I attended their launch party last month, and you can read all about it here.
Although Summerie only officially launched last month, I actually received products from Summerie to try out back in March. So today I'll be sharing my personal experience after using these products.
Summerie offers three types of products: body wash, shampoo and conditioner. They're an organic brand with over 94% natural-derived ingredients, and all of their products contain sunflower seed oil.
If you're wondering "Why sunflower seed oil?", well, sunflower seed oil is rich in vitamins like Vitamin A, B, C and E, as well as minerals like iron, potassium and calcium.
Sunflower oil is high in essential fatty acids like phospholipids and ceramides, as well as antioxidants, making it deeply nourishing and soothing to dry hair and scalps. It locks in moisture and helps keeps hair healthy and strong.
Summerie products do not contain silicone and are free from SLS, SLES, parabens, alcohol, mineral oil and synthetic colourants. They do not contain any animal-derived ingredients and are made with no MEA, no DEA and no TEA.
Best of all, the price points are all super affordable. You can now get Summerie products from Guardian stores nationwide, as well as on Guardian's website.

The products I've been using are the grapefruit purifying body wash, the shampoo for normal hair as well as the conditioner for all skin types:
Packaging wise, the products are all bright/pastel and summery (no pun intended haha). Both the body wash and the shampoo come in lockable pump bottles, while the conditioner comes in a tube:

Grapefruit Purify Body Wash
325ml - RM10.90 / 650ml - RM17.90
The body wash is pretty straightforward, and I love how it doesn't make my skin feel dry immediately after showering. The scent is just so yummy, and I really like how the scent slightly lingers on my body.
It's clear in colour and has a gel-type texture:
Because the size of the wash is pretty big and the price point is super good, this is my top recommendation from all 3 products that I tried. The scent doesn't smell too artificial too, and I like how I know that I'm not putting my body in any risk since it's organic. With 97% ingredients of natural origin, I know that my skin (the biggest organ on my body) is being cleansed in a super safe way.

Hair Shampoo for Normal Hair
325ml - RM17.90
When I used to frequently dye & bleach my hair, it became super dry. I've nourished it back, and I think my hair is now a little on the normal to dry type. I like how the shampoo for normal hair doesn't strip my hair of too much oil. It leaves my hair clean but not brittle.
The colour of the shampoo is slightly purplish/bluish, and it contains 98% ingredients of natural origin.
A little bit is enough to lather my hair, and the big size of the pump lasted me quite a while. The fragrance lingers longer on my hair (compared to that of the body wash), and I love how uplifting the scent is as well.

Conditioner for all Hair Types
175ml - RM13.90
Made with organic sunflower seed oil and golden jojoba oil, this conditioner is suitable for all skin types. It contains 95% ingredients of natural origin, and it really does help keep my hair soft and silky.
I do not use this every day as I do not like over conditioning. I use it every 2 days, and I feel like that's enough treatment for my hair. It has a thicker consistency like how conditioners usually do, but I have noticed that this is just a tad thinner/lighter than some of the other conditioners I've tried before.
Overall, it complements the shampoo quite well.
I think as a whole, Summerie is a really nice brand with good, organic products that work. Without the addition of any unnecessary chemicals, they still do what they claim to do (like made my skin feel smooth and supple or wash my hair without drying it), all while being at a very affordable price point.
I highly recommend trying their products out! You can get them now at any Guardian store nationwide, as well as on Guardian Malaysia's online store.
And that's it for this post! I hope you guys found it helpful and informative.
See y'all in my next post!
