Hi guys, today I'll be sharing all about Beyond's Damage Repair Treatment

Haircare has always had a special place in my heart because according to my parents, the men in both our families tend to lose hair as they age. This fact made me experiment with my hair and to enjoy it while I still have it, as well as take care of it so that I can prolong having thick, luscious hair.

Beyond is a Korean brand under LG H&H like The Face Shop, and they're a total care brand that carries face, body and hair care products. Beyond believes there is only one way for humans to be happy and beautiful - with constant communication with Mother Nature. With eco-friendly sourced ingredients, Beyond's uses the extracts of natural ingredients that are proven effective.

They have quite the selection of hair care products, and today I'm going to be sharing all about the Damage Repair line:

Infused with organic Brazil Nut Oil, organic Murumuru oil & cocoa butter, this line targets extremely damaged hair. It's recommended for those who frequently dye/color/bleach their hair, and for those who don't seem to find any improvements when they use hair packs. It tackles the 3 main signs of hair damage: split ends, extreme breakage and tangles.

Since I experiment with my hair a lot (dyeing and bleaching), I think this line suit's my needs. It promises shiny and soft hair, and I'm all for hair that doesn't become frizzy nor looks dry.

INGREDIENTS

As I mentioned, this range features 3 key ingredients:

Brazil Nut Oil - It contains high amounts of omega 6 and 9 fatty acids, which stimulate the production of sebum in the scalp, conditioning the hair naturally.

Murumuru Oil - A rich emollient for hair, it provides rich moisturization. It softens the hair while locking in moisture, which helps keep hair shiny and healthy. Murumuru oil also helps restore damaged hair and maintain elasticity, helping to boost color.

Cocoa butter - Rich in natural plant compounds it does a great job at conditioning hair, leading to less breakage. Cocoa butter is also great for the scalp because it helps to create a natural, healthy oil production which in turn minimizes dandruff and produces healthy hair follicles. This naturally leads to thicker, stronger hair.

TEXTURE & FRAGRANCE

Compared to the conditioner, this treatment has a thicker texture:

The scent is similar to the shampoo/conditioner, but I think it's a little stronger/more intense. It spreads well and is easy to wash off, and it's basically a stronger conditioner in my opinion.

HOW TO USE

There are 4 products in this range. You can use the shampoo to cleanse your hair daily, while you can use the conditioner daily to condition your hair as well. The treatment is more of an intense conditioner (at least that's how I use it), while the scalp & hair pack is more of scalp treatment product for me. All products are wash-off, so I apply them while I take my shower/bath.

As for frequency:

Shampoo: Daily, morning and night

Conditioner: Daily, morning

Treatment: Every 2-3 days, night

Scalp & Hair Pack: One a week, night

MY VERDICT

This treatment is like an intensive conditioner, and truthfully, although I like how nice it makes my hair look, I think it's more of an extra product that you get if your hair is really fried and damaged. If you have normal damaged hair (hair that's tangled/unruly but you wouldn't consider totally damaged), I'd recommend trying the conditioner first and giving this a go should you think you need more help.

Collectively, after using all 4 products, I find that I do notice less hair being caught on my brush and that I have fewer tangles. Sure, my hair feels soft and smooth immediately after using them, but maintenance wise, even without applying any product like hair oil/serum, I think my hair still looks quite shiny and healthy.
