Hi guys! Today I'll be sharing all about my recent luxe window shopping trip!
Just a reminder to everybody, please stay safe! I know this isn't exactly the best time to be out and about. I visited malls mostly when I expected the crowd to be at its minimum and tried to keep my distance as much as possible (and of course, wearing a face mask).
I've been cooped up for so long that I thought a little window shopping to wash my eyes couldn't hurt. I also drop by KLCC quite often because of some business, so I thought I'd just drop by to entertain my self.
Without further ado, here are some of the things I've currently got my eyes on + tried on!
DIOR
Dior Roller Bag
If you guys follow my IG/Youtube/Blog, you'll know that I've been thirsting over the oblique version of the roller bag:
I went to take a look at it again and it really just looks & feels amazing:
However at RM5.9k, I'm really considering whether or not the oblique jacquard would be worth it compared to the leather version.
I friend of mine bought an oblique bag from Dior a few years back, and her bag's value is now only worth RM700 while the black one has gone up to RM6k. I know that the leather is more worth it and is a better investment. I just can't get the oblique print out of my mind haha. It might go out of fashion again though, so all arrows point back to black. Hmmm. Decisions, decisions.
DIOR
Beige Dior Oblique Jaqcuard Saddle Pouch
I mentioned this bag in my April Bag Wishlist, and after seeing her in person, she is now off that list haha. Though she did look nice and pretty, I think it's a very "look" bag that wouldn't be practical nor easily matchable with a lot of outfits.
DIOR
Pouch
I saw this bag on my way out, and I quite liked the look of it! It's technically a cross between a mini boxt bag and a wallet on chain (as it has a lot of card slots inside). Compared to the roller bags, this is cheaper by a few hundred ringgit (I think because it's not as popular). It's slightly smaller too, but the uniform boxy shape is definitely a point that people might enjoy.
This on is in the signature beige and black Dior oblique jacquard, but it's also available in different colours + leather:
DIOR
Montaigne 30
Since I was already on a luxe trip, I decided to finally pluck the courage to enter the ladies/main Dior store. I don't know why, but I always just felt a bit intimidated to enter haha. Not because of the staff (because almost every Youtuber has said the Dior staff are all super friendly), but because the bag I'm interested in is so damn expensive that I just didn't have the balls to actually go in and look at it (if that makes sense haha)
After finally seeing and touching the Montaigne 30, I think she's a real beauty. However, seeing the scuffed hardware on the display unit was a bit heartbreaking haha. I hope one day will come when I can afford one easily. Time to work hard!
PRADA
Nylon Cross-Body Bag
An Instagram-staple these past few months/years, I also finally tried on the reissued nylon crossbody bags from Prada. I learned that both the men's and women's versions cost the same, however, the ladies is smaller + has a chain for over the shoulder use, while the men's is bigger with no chain.
I personally never aimed to get a Prada bag (at least a nylon one) because I always thought the prices were extortionate for fishing nylon fabric bags. Just my personal opinion! After trying it on, I did think that the men's version (which I'm wearing in the picture above) would make a great daily bag because of it's size + neutral style.
BURBERRY
Leather Barrel Bag
As it's Raya, Coach/ Tory Burch, Kate Spade, Furla, Michael Kors and a lot of brands are on sale, but I didn't really see a lot of high-end brands on sale. While I was walking through Gardens, I noticed that Burberry had a teeny tiny sale sign out, and I just had to check it out haha.
Lo and behold! A dupe for my Dior roller bag. It's slightly smaller, but it's made of full leather (even the strap). The best thing? It was on 50% off! From RM4990, they had 2 units that were being sold for RM2495 each!
Although it was such a bargain compared to the Dior ones, I didn't budge. I think it's cute, but the logo was a bit too small for me/it looked a bit too plain to me. At least the Dior leather one had a big, raised logo!
BURBERRY
Mini Two-Tone Canvas and Leather TB Bag
On my way out, I saw this bag which I always see on Instagram. The sales assistant said it would match my outfit and that I should try it on, and I wasn't gonna tell him no since he offered haha.
It does look cute, and I definitely see myself wearing it + pairing it with a lot of my outfits. It was the only one left in Malaysia + on full price, and for a canvas bag, I ain't about to spend that much haha. She cute, but cheaper in the UK. Maybe if I ever set foot in the UK I'll check it out haha.
And that's it for this post! I did end up buying a bag from the Coach sale, which is this super cute Kat Camera Bag in Colorblock
