Hi guys, welcome back to my blog! Today I'll be sharing some shots I took at Melaka's latest Instagrammable spot: Encore Melaka.
Encore Melaka is the newest offering from China’s iconic Impression Series, and it is also the latest Instagrammable landmark in Melaka.
Encore Melaka Impression Series is an immersive performance theatre, and they usually feature 75-minute stories about Melaka presented in multiple languages such as English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, Tamil, local dialects and Portuguese to reflect the harmony that exists within Melaka. They also feature the first 360-degrees rotating audience platform facing a 240-meter-long stage with multiple stages in Southeast Asia.
Show Time:
Monday - Saturday: 5.30pm & 8.30pm
Sunday: 2.30pm & 5.30pm
Price:
Standard: Local RM128 / Non-local RM148
Premium: Local RM228 / Non-local RM248
At night, the entire facade lights up, illuminating the area in blue light. Since it's located in an empty space/in the middle of a development area, nothing blocks the light and you can see it from quite a distance.
Since I had never been, I wanted to drop by and take some shots for the gram. As it is in the middle of a development area + it's massive, it's very easy to find and you can't miss it. However, you will need a car/Grab to reach it as it's not a walkable distance from the town centre.
There is free parking for cars and you don't have to pay any fee to just take pictures outside.
The structure is very futuristic and you can take lots of very graphic/structured shots with interesting angles
There's this "mini dome" under the front where instead of white, the scaled walls are blue:
I got here at around 3pm, and the crowd wasn't that big + there weren't that many people around.
I didn't have my camera with me (I forgot huhu), but if you're coming here I recommend bringing a wide lens to capture the unique facade of the structure!
If you walk to the side you'll see more spots to take pics at:
And at the back you get a wall that's against the sunlight/with flat light:
As well as the ocean!
If you go to the back you'll also get to see the corner/edge of the building, which I think was pretty cool:
I actually just got new shoes a few days before dropping by, and I think the whole aesthetic of the place matched them pretty well.

Overall I think Encore Melaka is worth a visit if you're in town. You don't need to pay for anything and you get to snap a lot of nice shots!
Aaaaaand that's it for this post, see y'all in my next!
