Hi guys, today I'll be sharing about one of the places I stayed at while I was in Bali: the Balisani Padma Hotel.
During our Bali trip, my group and I decided to book a different stay for each night that we were in Bali because we would be exploring different parts of Bali + it would be more convenient to stay in each area than wasting time on long car rides during the day. This stay is the first among our five stays, and we booked in on Agoda.
This post was not sponsored in any way by Agoda. I actually wanted to book our stays on different platforms (Airbnb, Homeaway, Booking) so that I could do a comparison post, but we ended up booking everything on Agoda! One of the main reasons being that the selection was the biggest + the prices were super low. To view my overall review of Agoda during this trip, click here!
We landed in Bali on May 18 12.55am, and we actually booked a 1 day Nusa Penida tour on the 18th with Klook. Since we did not want to bring our luggage with us during the Klook tour, we decided to book a room near the airport. Our plan was to reach the stay around 3am, rest for a bit, check out in the morning and leave our luggage at the reception area while we were on our tour.

A twenty-minute drive away from the Ngurah Rai Airport, Balisani Padma Hotel is located in the Legian area and is part of the Kuta District of Badung Regency on the west coast of Bali. On our car ride to the hotel, we realized that there were lots of hotels around this area and it seemed like a very happening place.
Check-in was pretty easy. We were greeted at the front desk by a friendly, English-speaking receptionist. Another staff member helped us carry our (many) heavy bags into our room.
A normal room with two beds in this hotel actually only cost RM40+, but since there were three of us, we had to get an extra bed (which is why our total went up to RM71).
Sorry I don't have any clear pics of the room, just some clips from my Instastory! We really did only plan to store luggage here + did not plan to post about it. I only realized that I wanted to share about it when we had already left lol. It was quite a steal for the price because the location + amenities were pretty good (more on why that is below).
There were 3 single beds in a normal, basic room. You have the option of linking it to the room beside it (should you have a big group). The room had a vanity, a mini-fridge and a walk-in bathroom. Weirdly enough, the aircon was in the bathroom so we felp super cold after we took quick showers hahaha.
Our Klook driver was only going to pick us up at 7am so at 6am, we decided to have a short stroll at the nearby beach.
Once outside, we realized that this place was actually quite nice! Though it may not be the most extravagant, for the price it was already pretty good.
Here are the picturesque walkways to the rooms:
And here's the pool!
It even had a bar area where you could eat.
Here's what the reception area looks like. I didn't really see it in much detail (since we arrived in the dead of night), and I appreciated how homey the place was.
I noticed that there were a bunch of flowers on the floor everywhere. A quick Google search told me that they were called Canang Sari, one of the daily offerings made by Balinese Hindus to thank the Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa in praise and prayer. Canang Sari is often seen in the Balinese temples, on small shrines in houses, and on the ground or as a part of a larger offering
Here's what Balisani Padma Hotel looks like from the front:
A ten-minute walk from Balisani Padma Hotel is Legian Beach. We were first greeted by this candi bentar, a split gateway which is a classical Javanese and Balinese entrance:
We were then greeted by the beach!
Although this pic has a filter, it looked almost similar to this omg. The sky was such a pretty shade of blue!
There are other hotels & bars lining the beach, but since it was pretty early none were open to the public yet.
Mostly it was just people (and doggos) taking a leisurely stroll along the beach.
Since we had some time, we enjoyed the cool ocean breeze and took some pics:
This is actually me, Euri and Bo's second trip together! First was in Bangkok and 2nd one now in Bali đź’“
At 7am our Klook driver arrived. When he found out that we were leaving our luggage at reception, he actually told us that we could leave our luggage on the car instead. Since we would be going on a one day island tour of Nusa Penida, he would be dropping us at the jetty port > we will be riding a jetty to Nusa Penida > another car will drive us around in Nusa Penida. He would only stay parked in the jetty area + wait for us to come back at the end of the day.
In the end, we only ended up freshening up + visiting the beach for a short while during our time in Balisani hahaha. We were there fir a total of 4 hours and didn't really stay long there. That said, I honestly couldn't find a fault with this place aside from the aircon being in the bathroom. It was cheap, looked cute, near the airport, near the beach, near the amenities, near pubs. If you're looking for a cheap stay in Bali near the airport, I would recommend considering this one,
