Hi guys, welcome back to my blog! Today I'll be sharing about Some By Mi's AHA BHA PHA 30 Days Miracle Cleansing Bar.
Some By Mi is a brand that's been trending recently (especially on Instagram), and they're a brand that believes good ingredients are the key to clearing up your skin. They have a line called the AHA BHA PHA 30 Days Miracle Line comprising of a cleansing soap, toner, and serum, and I managed to get my hands on the cleansing soap and the toner.

Essentially, the products from the lines contain all the types of HA (including the trendy new PHA), and they're supposed to clear out your acne skin in 30 days. They have some pretty big claims and they're really confident in this line, even going so far as to have "real life" videos on their SNS (which are really convincing by the way).
The video is really convincing, right? I was super interested in these products after watching the video, and in today's post, I'll be sharing all about my experience with them.
WHAT IS IT
This cleansing bar soap contains AHA, BHA, and PHA and aims to rescue & relieve the skin. It will gently exfoliate the skin without irritating it, and it can be used by all skin types (even people with sensitive skin).
WHERE TO BUY
This cleanser is available on Stylekorean.com for USD18.99 (~RM77.70).
PACKAGING
The soap comes packaging in a green box like the toner, and it's actually wrapped in plastic inside the box (forgot to take a pic).
INGREDIENTS
Now you may be wondering, what's all the hullabaloo about AHA, BHA and PHA? AHA (alpha-hydroxy acid) and BHA (beta-hydroxy acid) are exfoliants that have gained popularity in the past couple of years, especially among people with oily, sensitive or acne prone skin. AHA and BHA remove impurities and sebum from the face, effectively ungluing dead skin cells. PHA (poly-hydroxy acid) is a new type of hydroxy acid that dissolves dead skin cells and prevents moisture loss in the skin.
The ingredient list is quite lengthy but all of them are either EWG 1 or 2, meaning they're very unlikely to irritate the skin (click here to view the full ingredient list!). What stands out to me is the 2% Niacinamide, 10000ppm of Melaleuca Alternifolia Leaf Extract and all the other good extracts like included in this cleansing soap.
TEXTURE
The soap foams up pretty easy by itself, but if you prefer a lot of foam, you can use a soap foamer as well.
It smells nice and the foam created by the foam maker isn't too dense and is gentle on my skin.
HOW TO USE
If you have makeup on, I recommend removing that first with a makeup remover before using this cleanser as it's not really made for makeup.
I recommend foaming up the soap with your hands or the foamer before applying it to your skin, not foaming it up by rubbing it on your face directly as it'll cause wrinkles and unnecessary lines. Also, I keep mine on an aloe coaster so that the moisture is absorbed after I use it and it doesn't melt (like how facial soaps tend to)
MY REVIEW & VERDICT
I'm a fan of this soap! Its been a good while now and I still haven't made a dent to the soap. The "Miracle" writing on top is a bit faded now, but after almost 2 months of using it, it still looks big.
This soap did keep me acne free and my skin smooth, and it didn't irritate me or cause any breakouts. I didn't feel dry after cleansing with it (which was great) and I think it did a pretty good job of cleansing my skin & getting rid of dead skin cells as well. I noticed that the amount of dead skin cell buildup after I toner my face is lesser, and I think the AHA/BHA/PHA helped with that.
I do not have any severe kind of acne on my face, but I do have very acne prone skin. This did a good job of maintaining the clarity of my skin, and whenever I ate somthing wrong (like noodles lol) and had a bit of pimples, using this helped to clear them away in a day or two without popping.
Although my skin felt great and it was smooth & clear (of breakouts), my scarring stayed pretty much the same. Maybe the Miracle Serum would be more suited for fading my deep acne scars.
Overall I think this cleanser is very acne/oily-skin friendly! I wish this and the toner was available while I was in high school, I wonder if it would have helped my then super bad acne skin.
WILL I REPURCHASE
It seems like it'll take some time to get through the whole bar, and honestly I have a lot of cleansers so I probably won't need to repurchase it anytime soon hahaha. However, let's say theoretically I have only this bar and it's almost finishing. I would definitely pick one up again. It does what it says it'll do, smells nice, feels nice and leaves me with clear skin that isn't dry.
And that's it for this post! I hope you guys found my review helpful and interesting. If you're interested in reading my thoughts on the toner, click here!
See you in the next post!
It's nice that you describe such things.
