Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion Review

Hi guys, today I'll be sharing all about Aveeno's Daily Moisturizing Lotion and my experience with it.

WHAT IS IT

Aveeno is an American brand that has recently become available here in Malaysia. Aveeno and Aveeno Baby are actually one of the most trusted brands in the US because of its use of natural ingredients, and it's the #1 US paediatrician trusted brand as well. 

Aveeno is actually derived from oat's latin name (Avena sativa), and that's because oats are the key ingredient in all of Aveeno's products.

Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion is a clinically proven nourishing lotion that promises to improve the health of dry skin within 24 hours. Its supposed to leave the skin feeling smooth, soft and naturally healthy looking. It's also fragrance-free, non-greasy and safe for everyday use.

WHERE TO BUY

This lotion comes in a 354ml bottle and costs RM44.25. I think that's price point is still pretty reasonable and affordable. You can get it at selected major pharmacies here in Malaysia such as Aeon Wellness, Caring, Guardian and Watsons.

The pump also comes with a lock for security. I love this because you don't have to pump and twist like other lotion bottles.

INGREDIENTS

As I mentioned, oats are the main ingredients in all of Aveeno's products. The skin is our body's largest organ, and its important to take care of it as well. Oats help take care of the skin by providing multiple benefits such as moisturizing, soothing, calming and strengthening the skin. Aveeno products also contain a supercharged Triple Oat Complex which delivers 9 times the antioxidant power.

The ingredient list is pretty clean, with ingredients having a 1-4 EWG rating (meaing they're very unlikely to irritate the skin).

TEXTURE & FRAGRANCE

Although it contains no fragrance, it smells very...how should I say this...sanitary? It reminds me of a hospital/baby products haha. It smells very sterile and clean.

The lotion has a an almost jelly-lotion like texture, and spreads out very well. It absorbs pretty quickly too. It leaves the skin feeling plump and moisturized, but it does have a bit of a sticky feeling so avoid putting on too much.

HOW TO USE

Just apply this to your legs and arms as you would any other lotion.

MY REVIEW & VERDICT

I had to get used to the feeling of the lotion, and I also had to learn to use less haha. Compared to other Nivea and Vaseline lotions I've used, I have to use less. I find that really good because not only do you save product, you also get to use the product longer. I wasn't a fan of the stickiness (especially since Malaysia is so hot) but after figuring out how much product I actually need, I got used to it and use it on a daily basis now.

I work in a super cold office, and although I can do my skincare routine while I work, I never really thought giving the rest of my body some loving lol. I now have this lotion on my work table and apply it every day (whenever I feel dry). I like to use it on my hands too since I type and use them a lot every day.

WILL I REPURCHASE

It's not the cheapest lotion out there, but I did enjoy using it! Its truly moisturizing and didn't irritate my skin at all. If I happen to come across a good deal after I finish it then I'll definitely get another bottle!
