LipAddict Tea Party with SoAddicted Malaysia

Hi guys, welcome back to my blog! Today I'll be sharing about the LipAddict Tea Party event I attended!

In collaboration with The Butterfly Project, 30 Butterflies were invited to a super pretty tea party with the brand SoAddicted! Held in Happ Cafe, Tropicana Avenue, the event space was super instagrammable and totally matched with SoAddicted's pink aesthetic!

The event kicked off with a Leonard & Sydney welcoming everyone:

Followed by an introduction of SoAddicted & LipAddict by the brand representative!

SoAddicted isn't actually a new brand here in Malaysia. They've been around for quite some time now but they've only been available in salons and clinics. They've recently expanded and are now available in several outlets here in the Klang Valley.

So what are LipAddicts? They're actually a multi-purpose lip treatment that not only hydrates your lips but reduces the appearance of lip lines as well. They come in a gloss form and are supposed to reflect light in a way that it makes your lips appear bigger & fuller.

It's hypoallergenic and contains a blend of hyaluronic acid, marine collagen, and peptides that help plump the lips by increasing hydration, erase lip lines and stimulate collagen synthesis.

Available in 12 variants, the LipAddicts come in 1 transparent shade (which can be used as a treatment at night as well) and 11 sweet shades.

Remember when I said that the LipAddicts are multi-functional? That's because they're not just lip glosses, they're lip treatments! It contains menthol that really cools the lips, and instead of stinging and hurting like your usual lip plumpers, it tingles and feels minty/cooling instead!

After a month, you're supposed to notice that your lips are healthier, more defined and hydrated. You can use it on its own but you can also mix and match the shades together to get a custom colour or layer the LipAddict over your favorite lipsticks!

To show us the versatility of the LipAddicts, Makeup Artist Phoebe did a daytime and night time look demo!

Everyone then had time to play around with the products + try the LipAddicts for themselves.

I was very surprised by how cooling they were! They felt almost like toothpaste and were super minty and fresh on my lips. It tasted kinda sweet as well, and we were told that there was actually Stevia added in the formulation as well.

Speaking of formulation, another thing that sets the LipAddicts apart is their ingredient list. A lot of lip products have parabens & different pigments + chemical in their formulation. SoAddicted only included the essential ingredients that will benefit the lips and added as little chemicals & dyes as possible. They also have no parabens, sulfates, hormones, artificial fragrances or toxic ingredients which is great!

The ingredients per shade differs (as with other colour/lip products), but all of them contain Amino Acids, Hyaluronic Acid, Marine Collage, Organic Aloe Vera, Vitamin C, Organic Castor Oil, Vitamin E, Organic Apricot Kernel Oil, Organic Avocado Oil, Organic Jojoba Seed Oil, and Organic Grapeseed Oil.

Overall the event was super fun & informative, and it was great to learn about the cooling lippies while catching up with friends.
