BB Beauty Art Deco Workshop #TeaWithHilton

Hi guys! In this post I'll be sharing about the BB Beauty Art Deco Workshop I attended, as well as DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Hotel Penang's high tea set!

 So the Butterfly Team and I were in Penang for a special event! Finally we headed up north and had an event with our northern Penang Butterflies! Being a community, we always see each other online, but we rarely meet each other in real life since the events we attend are either in Penang or KL.

Tammy (The Butterfly Project's founder, aka Mamasan) organized a BB Beauty Art Deco Workshop where Butterflies could come over for a fun afternoon and decorate their own products with decodens! Hilton Hotels' DoubleTree Penang was the venue sponsor, and were super stoked to be working together with them!

The event started off as usual, with registration & networking:

There were a few familiar faces like Gaylen, Carmen & Iris:

As well as Jasjas:

But it was nice to see a lot of fresh faces as well! Everyone was pretty bubbly/friendly, and the overall mood was very cozy.

The workshop/high tea sesh kicked off with a welcome from Mamasan herself, as well as Jessica, Hilton's PR!

After that, the Butterflies started decorating their BB cushions! (led by Tammy & Sydney)

Basically, everybody got to pick up their materials (like the cream, tips, bags & Althea Petal Velvet Powder for people) from two tables:

You could then select your choice of up to10 decodens and put them in your bag!

Tammy & Sydney went around teaching everyone how to properly pipe the cream, and everyone got the hang of it pretty quickly.

While everyone was busy decorating their BB cushions/Petal Velvet Powders, high tea was served!

Various pastries and free flow tea.

3pm - 6pm. RM64 for 2 person.

High tea is actually served daily at DoubleTree Penang, and for RM64 for a set, I think the spread is pretty alright!

DoubleTree Penang offers a selection of Dilmah Tea, and since everyone got a pot of tea to themselves, everyone got to choose the flavour they preferred.

As for the high tea set, there are 8 items across the 3-tier set ranging from sweet to savoury.

Top: Royal Milk Tea Espuma in a shooter glass, Ginger Lemongrass tea infusion creme brulee
Middle: Earl grey & white chocolate mousse & Green Tea Macaron
Bottom: Jasmine Scones, Tea flavoured chicken quiche, Seared fried shrimp on green bread, Grilled smoked tea chicken breast in Green Tea Sandwich bread

My choice of tea was the Moroccan Mint Green Tea, and it was pretty refreshing. Overall I thought that the high tea set was pretty worth it for the price. You get good ambiance, quite a few items on the set + free flow tea! It's definitely a great spot to chill with friends & catch up with them over the weekend.

Not long after, the Butterflies were done with their creations and they all looked so cute!

The event was a huge success because not only did the butterflies get to come together for an event, we also got to make new Penang friends and connect with each other!

Everyone went home that day with a gooodie bag of high tea-themed skincare products courtesy of Althea Korea, and Jessica from Hilton also surprised everybody with their trademark Hilton Cookie!
