Hi guys! Today I'll be sharing my thoughts & review on the products from THE FACE SHOP's Yehwadam Revitalizing Moisturizing Line.
My first introduction to the Yehwadam line was from my birthday last year when I received the Yehwadam Pure Brightening Serum:
Similar to how THE FACE SHOP's Dr. Belmeur line is for acne and it has the Clarifying Range for oily skin and the Daily Repair Range for dry skin under it, THE FACE SHOP's Yehwadam line includes several different lines that all have anti-aging properties but each specializes in something. The serum I previously received was from the Yehwadam Pure Brightening Line (for brightening), and today I'll be sharing about the products from the Yehwadam Revitalizing Moisturizing Line!
First of all, what is Yehwadam? Yehwadam is THE FACE SHOP's anti-aging line and the name is actually an acronym consisting of 3 words that represent the philosophy of the line:
YE (蘂): herbs and plants
HWA (花): flower
DAM (譚): story.
The Revitalizing Moisturizing Line's main aim is to restore moisture into dehydrated skin with the help of traditional herbs, effectively giving dehydrated skin continuous long-lasting fresh moisture.
The Yehwadam Revitalizing Moisturizing Line contains a fresh flower water formula, a secret blend of 5 types of traditional herbs & flowers that re-energize and cool skin with fresh surge of moisture. The range also contains other traditional herbs that have been loved by Koreans for a long time like Korean Ginseng, Safflower, and Goji Berry to make the skin glow naturally from within, as well as leaving the skin revitalized and re-energized.
When I first read about the ingredients, it totally gave me Jeju Island vibes hahaha. I'm not sure where the herbs were collected from but in my head I see a mountain with lots of flowers & herbs, kinda like the ones in all those Visit Korea advertisements. Anyways, I digress. The Revitalizing Moisturizing line seemed perfect for me as I love moisture, I need soothing (for my acne skin + the hot weather) and on top of all, I needed products that would really help with anti-aging.
I don't have any wrinkles (yet) that I want to fade/lessen, but I do want to start taking preventive measures. The products from the Revitalizing line seem promising, but did they work on my skin? And how did they fare with Malaysia's hot weather? Read on to find out!
PS. I've been super obsessed with all the Golden Hour pics on Instagram that I've been seeing, so I made Golden Hour the theme for this post! It seemed fitting and the images totally turned out nice 🙈
On with the review!
RM 135.00
Fluids are quite common among TFS' products, and a few of you guys have asked me on IG story what a fluid is. A fluid is actually an all-in-one type of product. It's like a toner + lotion/essence combined together, so insted of using two products you only have to use one. You can use a cotton pad to tone your face and you can pump out some product and pat it into your skin as well.
The texture of it is light & fresh, and I think it's perfect for my skin and the weather. Even after toning + patting it into my skin, it doesn't feel super sticky, and I use this fluid for both my morning and night skincare routine. You guys know that I'm a fan of my skincare smelling nice, and this definitely fits into that category. It's a light..."yummy" smell I would say, not really fruity, but not flowery as well. If I had to describe it with only one word, I'd call the scent "fresh".

This product is a a fresh moisturizing cream that promises to recharge dehydrated skin with continuous long-lasting moisture. It also promises to give moisture both on the inside and out, without leaving a sticky finish. This cream contains Ceramide and natural ingredients that are similar to the skin lipids & barrier. These ingredients work to make moisture stay and last longer on the skin. This product also contains Panthenol (one of my fave ingredients for healing the skin/speeding up my acne recover).
As I mentioned, the products from this ranage contain the Fresh Flower Water formula, a secret blend of 5 traditional herbs with moisturizing properties. Wanna know the secret? The flowers are actually Peony, Lotus, Safflower, Chrysanthemum, and Honeysuckle! Aside from these, all the products also contain the Gyuwhabang Complex: a mix of 3 traditional herbs with skin revitalizing properties (Korean Ginseng, Safflower, and Goji Berry).
Anyhoo, I don't use this for the morning and mainly use it at night when I tend to focus on my anti-aging routine. You only really need the tiniest bit of product to cover your entire face. Everytime I use this at night, I wake up feeling F A B U L O U S. Its as if I slept with aloe gel on, but without the uncomforable sticky feeling.
RM 110.00
Last but not least is this sleeping mask. It's a revitalizing sleeping pack that restores fresh deep moisture overnight, promising to leave skin instantly refreshed in the morning.
Although I was skeptical of this mask and already thought that I wouldn't use it, I still gave it a chance. At the last step of my skincare routine (which is moisturizer) I apply this to all the points of my face (except the eye area) and massage it in an upward motion. Since it's part of the Yehwadam Revitalizing Moisturizing Line, I tried it first after using the moisturizer from the same line. I mentioned earlier that the texture of the cream was already slightly like a mask, and putting this on top of that was definitely too rich for my young skin. I still slept with it, and in the morning when I woke up I washed it off with warm water.
I didn't really feel any different until I saw myself in the mirrors of the elevator on my way up to my office. I only put the moisturizing fluid on (2 layers) and omg my skin looked pretty good! It had that healthy glow and even a bit of shine to it. I really felt good that morning and made a mental note to try the mask again later.
]
3 days later, I tried the pack again, this time with a lighter moisturizer. It was so much more comfy + the results were the same the next morning! 😍
Overall I think this pack is a nice pick me up for when your skin is feeling tired and dull (which was me these past weeks). Would I pick it over the moisturizer? In terms of price, usage and overall experience, I think I still like the moisturizer better, but I am pleasantly surprised by this mask and will continue to use it!
Aside from these 3 products, there's also a sheet mask in this range. I didn't get it, but if I do I'll share my thoughts about it either here on my blog or on my Instastories (so make sure to follow me @fishmeatdie!)
Overall would I say that the Yehwadam Revitalizing Moisturizing Line is worth it? If you're a 20/early 30s something guy or gal looking to start your anti-aging routine, then yes I definitely think this range would be worth it. The texture + scent is bomb, plus it does a pretty good job of moisturizing + helping my skin look fresh, healthy and plump. It is a splurge, but I've learned from lots of Youtubers that its always a good thing to invest in skincare. You don't have to get the entire range, but getting one or two things like the moisturizer or the pack and slowly incorporating it into you daily skincare routine is better than not taking any anti-aging steps at all. As Michelle Phan says, you're never too young to start anti-aging! If you're in your early 20s, keep it light, but if you're already in you're late 20s/early 30s, please...it's not an option do get something and start preserving yourself hahaha. Some other anti-aging steps I would recommend to you guys would be to drink lots of water & to stay away from the sun + wear lots of sunscreen!
If you have more mature skin (40s to 50s), I'm not sure if this will be enough. It feels alright for me, but I think people with more mature skin might prefer something richer. I recommend checking out the Yehwadam Nokyong Collagen Contour Lift Gold Capsule Cream or the products from the Yehwadam Heaven Grade Ginseng Regenerating line.

I think this product is especially great for the daytime because it really is cooling and refreshing. At first I thought the product was only cold because of my room's aircon/the glass packaging, but when I went to Melaka (where it was super friggin hot), I found that it was the product itself that was cool.
Aside from that, I think the level of moisturization that this provides is similar to THE FACE SHOP's Therapy First Serum. The first serum feels slightly more plumping and the Yehwadam fluid is more cooling, but the feeling of hydration for both products feels similar after you pat in one layer. The Yehwadam fluid is slightly more viscous, and I feel like the Therapy First Serum can be layered on for the 7-skin technique better.
Overall I like the fluid and how cooling + refreshing it is. I would recommend this to someone who wants start with simple anti-aging products but does not want to commit to heavy creams. Al

If you read my blog + watch my Instastories, you'll see that I always use & share about water gels. Over the years, I've grown to have a preference for water gel-type moisturizers because they feel cooling, they feel comfortable and they absorb better into my skin. Unlike creams, I prefer gels, so it was really hard for me to find an anti-ageing moisturizer with a texture that would be perfect for me.
This product has a lightweight gel-type lightweight, and I can personally attest that it is super comfy and cooling to the skin. Although it promises a non-greasy finish, I find that it leaves a thin film of shine on the face. It functions the same as other water gels that I've tried (fast absorption + cooling + feels fresh), but for some reason I feel like this is more...moisturizing. How do I explain it...the feeling is between a moisturizer and a sleeping mask (the amount of "hold" and moisture that I feel after applying it) but the texture of the product itself is very light. Does that make sense?
Anyhoo, I don't use this for the morning and mainly use it at night when I tend to focus on my anti-aging routine. You only really need the tiniest bit of product to cover your entire face. Everytime I use this at night, I wake up feeling F A B U L O U S. Its as if I slept with aloe gel on, but without the uncomforable sticky feeling.
From all 3 products I've tried from this line, this would be my #1 most recommended!
THE FACE SHOP Yehwadam Revitalizing Moisturizing Sleeping Pack Review
RM 110.00
Last but not least is this sleeping mask. It's a revitalizing sleeping pack that restores fresh deep moisture overnight, promising to leave skin instantly refreshed in the morning.
Overnight masks and I don't have that much of a good history haha. The past sleeping packs that I've tried all either felt too heavy or did not have that much visible effects. This pack promises to
give the skin deep moisture overnight so that your skin feels fresh in the morning, and it also promises a comfy texture. It also has a similar pH level as our skin.
Although I was skeptical of this mask and already thought that I wouldn't use it, I still gave it a chance. I’m a Yehwadam Revitalizing user too. This Yehwadam Revitalizing Moisturizing is somehow new to me. I’m not sure if the TFS Philippines introduced this new collection. I’m looking for a review for the Yehwadam Revitalizing Moisturizing Foam Cleanser. Were you able to review it? Kindly let me know. Thank you!
