Hi guys and welcome to another post! Today's post will be all about 2 products that I got from The Plant Base!
They're a pretty awesome beauty brand, so before I get into it, why not I introduce you guys to them?
🌿 About Plant Base 🌿
The Plant Base is a Korean skincare brand launched in 2005. They first became know as a natural soap brand, making 100% handmade natural soaps. They then expanded and released several skin care lines because of continuous consumer demands.
You might be asking, "Why are they so popular?'. Well since the start of their brand, TPB insisted on using hypoallergenic & high-performance products formulated with only natural plants and certified organic ingredients. Personally, I've been getting more and more conscious with my beauty purchases, especially for skincare. There's a lot of harmful ingredients that I never knew could affect my skin in a different way!
All of their products are based on Plant Extracted Water, which boosts up the self-generation power of all skin types!
TPB has continued to be popular, and they now have 8 different skincare ranges with over 45 skin care products, so they're doing pretty well!
They were awesome enough to send me two products from the Nature Solution range to review, so here I am today. Are they worth the hype? Read on to know more!
🌿 Nature Solution Range 🌿
🌿 Nature Solution Hydrating Bamboo Water 🌿
This product is a double-layer type toner and it's supposed to moisturize the skin all day and give the skin a clean sheen by forming an oil barrier instantly. It's also supposed to help with wrinkles! It contains Bamboo Water, Argan Kennel Oil.
Bamboo water is supposed to provide skin moisture and prevent skin dryness. It can also prevent skin damage because it has anti-oxidant and anti-bacteria actions.
Argan Kernel Oil has a lot of unsaturated fatty acids which helps to make a clean and healthy looking complexion. This product
Amongst a lot of other ingredients, it also contains 13 different natural oils:
Here's how the product's packaging looks like:
(New bottles come sealed, I forgot to take pics of the seal hahaha)
With this product including so many oils in its ingredients I expected it to be oily, but it's actually very light. It has a thin consistency with a very slight murkiness to it, and it smells very fresh and natural.
This toner isn't supposed to be used with a cotton pad to wipe away dead cells, but to provide moisture after already washing your face. You have to tap it in!
This product is recommended for people with dry skin, want to combat wrinkles and don't want a sticky toner. I have very oily skin, but I've been using a Kojic Acid soap on and off to lighten my skin, and it actually had a very (dry) toll on my skin. I peel a lot now T.T This has definitely helped combat that! I feel like this product definitely hydrates my skin!
It's never to late to fight wrinkles, so I've also been very diligent in using this. I agree that the toner and not sticky and tacky at all, so that's a plus for me!
🌿 Nature Solution Skin Essence 🌿
This product is a highly enriched essence supposed to also cover your skin with a barrier and also includes bamboo extract like the Water.
It has a slightly thicker consistency than the water, but it's still very light. The smell isn't as strong in this one, and I kinda like the packaging of this one better~
The difference between the water and the essence is that the essence is recommended for sensitive skin, rough and dry skin and loose skin. They even have a comparison photo on their site of what your skin should look like after using it:
As someone who ALWAYS breaks out, this was a total eye catcher for me!
This product is meant to be used after the Bamboo Water, and it's also applied by gently tapping the product onto the skin.
I find this product okay~ Although it was very moisturizing and it did soothe my skin and acne (the redness wasn't as bad), it didn't dramatically reduce my acne. I'll have to keep on using this and update you guys in the future!
🌿 Final Verdict 🌿
Would I recommend these products? Definitely yes! I'm a big fan of the smell and the hydration that both these products provide. The water kinda has the consistency of the Hada Labo lotions, and since I'm running low on that I'll be trading it for this one.
As for the essence, I'm really curious to see if it will help reduce acne in the long run. Stay tuned to this post/my blog in the future! It's definitely hydrating and I don't mind adding it to my current skincare routine.
