Hi guys, today I'll be sharing about a quick brunch I had at Botanica+Co in Bangsar.
This is among KL's most popular restaurants, at least on social media. It's one of the most instagrammed places and I was really curious about the place + the food.

B+C actually has 2 spaces and I unfortunately only took pictures of the "bar" area. Below you can see people lining up to be seated in the restaurant area:
And across it is the bar area:
I was told upon entering that on weekends they only served the restaurant menu.
The main reason why I decided to sit here was because of this popular LED sign:
So nice right! Since I was in quite a rush that day, I didn't bother to check out the restaurant area and headed straight for these lights like a moth drawn to a flame.
If you search up B+C on Insta you'll see that the restaurant area looks quite nice as well. Tbh all I really wanted from this place was a nice OOTD shot hahaha. Almost everybody has one!
For my fellow Insta enthusiasts, the lighting inside is quite warm and dark. If you have a DSRL like we did you can adjust your camera easily, but if you only have your phone I suggest eating outside or near the windows for nice pictures.
Anyways, back to the food. here's the menu
On with the food shots!
Eggs Benedict | RM30
First of all, look at that setting. No t no shade, but doesn't it look a bit pathetic? This was my order, and to be honest, I only ordered it because of my super good experience with Ferrighi Garden's Eggs Benedict (RM25.8):
I didn't like EB last time as I thought it was so overpriced. Like, 20/30+ for a plate with only 2 things? Ferringhi Garden was proved me wrong and attacked my taste buds, but Botanica+Co?
Sad to say that I was very disappointed. There was too little greens for my liking and the whole eggs benedict was only so-so. The best part of the thing was the veggie's dressing.
The Gentlemen | RM42
This was the complete opposite: I loved it! At first I thought the strips were cheese, but they were actually chicken.
I don't know if it was the underwhelming eggs benedict, but this was such a treat. The cheese, tomato sauce and toppings complimented each other so well. I don't really have any more comments aside from giving it an A!
We also had lemonades and they were SUPER sour. My brother enjoyed it but not really for me.
Overall, I think B+C is worth visiting at least once. The service was really good and the food came out really fast. The staffed informed us that pizzas usually take a longer time to make, but my Eggs Benedict was out in 5 minutes and the pizza 10. Definitely try the other items on the menu and ask for recommendations from the helpful staff. I only insisted on the EB cuz I was craving for them~
Would I revisit Botanica + Co? Definitely, at least once more. I don't think I should base my opinions of it on one dish. They had a great place, great service and great pizza. Maybe next time I'll sit in the restaurant area.
And that's it for this quick update! If you'd like to read more of my cafe hopping posts, please click here!
I hope everyone's been having a great Chinese New Year so far. Have you all collected lots of angpaus?
As always, thanks for reading and see you all in the next post!
