Hi guys, today I'll be sharing one of my November faves, which is Kiehl's Daily Reviving Concentrate Serum!
I recently got this in the mail from Kiehl's, so sweet of them! I also received the Midnight Recovery Concentrate Serum:
I previously tried these two serums when I asked for samples a few months back. They were so awesome and I'm super glad that I now have the full sized bottles! I'm definitely on my way to getting revived and recovered skin (what with all the haze and the stress I'm getting 😅). Definitely a great early Christmas present, so thank you Kiehl's! 💕
I've only started using the serums (around 3 weeks) and I can already see my skin looking better. I recently traveled back to Penang, which I think was well deserved after all the stressing over work. I got to take a few nice pictures during brunch at Ferringhi Garden, so I'll be sharing them today with you guys, as well as my short review of Kiehl's Daily Reviving Concentrate Serum.
Both serums compliment each other. The yellow serum is for the day and the blue one is for the night. Easy to remember right?
I have to admit that after starting work, I've had less time to focus on my skin. In college I used to be able to take my time and apply my skincare products. Nowadays I'm always in a rush (because I sleep late from being on my laptop for too long 😭 it's the only time I have to watch shows/blog!)
My current morning routine is very minimal: wash, toner, moisturize, sunblock. I also draw on brows and apply powder to reduce my shine throughout the day, but that's it.
When I got the serums, I decided to be a bit more hardworking and to start using serums during the day. The Daily Reviving Concentrate promises to defend the skin against aggressors and to keep the skin youthful and radiant throughout the day. It contains no parabens and has ginger root, sunflower and tamanu extracts. These main ingredients are all good at making the skin radiant and helping with anti-aging.
Because the bottle is yellow, I expected the serum to be yellow as well, but its actually not. The Daily Reviving Concentrate has a transparent oily consistency and it feels really light on my skin, not heavy or tacky at all. Perfect for the day! If you have oily skin (like me), don't be afraid of oils! The oil that you secrete and cleansing oils/oil serums are two totally different things.
I usually apply 5 drops to my face: one on each cheek and one on my forehead, nose and chin. I'll then rub the serum into my skin in circular motions until its fully absorbed.
After its absorbed, you will look a bit shiny. If I'm staying at home this isn't a problem, but since I work, I usually apply a powder to mattify my face. So my whole morning routine now is:
Wash - Toner - Serum - Moisturizer - Sunblock - Sebum/translucent powder
Now, does it work? It definitely does! Here's a few effects I've noticed:
1. Hydrating
One day I tried using this serum by itself and not using moisturizer, just to see if it feels different (aka dry, oilier, etc.), My skin still felt moisturized and I didn't feel dry at all.
2. Soothes skin
I was starting to break out again and this serum helped to calm my skin down. I noticed that if I have areas that I can feel are starting to burst, this serum helps to flatten them/make them go away. In terms of acne scars, I wouldn't depend on this serum alone as I don't think it does a super job of brightening scars, but I've noticed that my skin looks more even (and that a great plus).
3. Helps with fatigue and gives skin a radiant look
Not just simply saying this, but I really do think that my skin looks more radiant. There's a distinct difference when I wear makeup and when I don't (I look dead and tired without makeup 😂). I was in the washroom in my office one day and I looked into my reflection and was quite happy to see that I didn't look like such a mess, even though I wasn't wearing makeup!
Mind you, I only had 4 hours of sleep. When my skin is tired, it shows on my skin in the form of acne, dullness or texture. TEXTURE, can you believe it? After using this I've seen VERY visible results. My skin seems brighter and revived.
I also really like the packaging and its button style dropper.
Is this a product I would recommend? Definitely YES. Its a bit on the pricey side at RM243, but it's definitely worth the investment. It does what it says it'll do and it's a perfect match with my skin type and concerns.
5 drops a day is actually quite a lot, but even with 5 drops I feel like this serum will last me around 4-5 months(with regular use). With such good results in a short time period, I'm definitely looking forward to just how alive and pretty my skin will look after using this serum for a longer time!
If you guys would like to try this out, Kiehl's currently has a set with both the serums, their famous Ultra Facial Cleanser and Super Multi Corrective Cream for only RM290!
Considering the price of one full sized 30ml bottle, I'd definitely say this set is worth it (and will make a great Christmas present for yourself 😉)
Kiehl's collaborated with Jeremyville this year for their Christmas packaging, and they're all so cute! They have a lot of sets this time round so you should check them out before they're all gone!

There are limited edition pouches,
packaging (omg this is too cute!)
and sets!
And that's it for this post! I hope you guys found my review interesting and informative! I really do like the serum, I mean it's KIEHL'S, one of the greatest skincare products in the world (to me at least haha). I always ask for samples of different products and they all work so well!
On a different note, the brunch at Ferringhi Garden was both filling and fancy. My eggs benedict were perfection! My friend Fufy posted a review of the place on her blog, click here to view it!
As always, thanks for reading and see y'all in the next post!
