The Daily Fix is a cafe that's quite popular on Instagram. The cafe is located along Jonker Street, but it can't really be seen as you have to go inside a shop to see it. There's a few blackboard signs out so just keep an eye out for them.
The interior gives a rustic/heritage-ish kind of feel. I think the building was renovated from an old shop lot. The interior is quite nice and cozy but the space is a bit limited. We went at about 2 for a late lunch and there were still a lot of people (we had to wait a while to be seated).
There's an "outside" area at the back where there aren't any fans. We were seated here and although it was really hot that day, we didn't really mind. There wasn't much sun and the light was just right for taking pictures hahaha.
One of the walls had this pretty plate thing going on:
MENU
The Daily Fix offers mainly breakfast/brunch items, as well as a few pasta dishes.
On with the foodporn shots!
Smoked Duck Aglio E Olio | RM18.50
I actually didn't want to eat pasta because my mum was making pasta for dinner, but I had to settle for it because I didn't feel like ordering bread or salad. I was glad though because they gave such a generous helping of meat! The pasta was slightly spicy but the dish was overall very filling.
The Lot | RM19.90
Fufy had The Lot which is basically their breakfast platter. I tried a bit of her eggs and stuff, it was okay. She said it was good and that it was fairly priced as well. As you can see, the portion is quite big. She also said that she hoped they added more baked beans and mushrooms.
Smoked Chicken Salad | RM18.50
This was Euri's brunch and he said he enjoyed it.
Iced Cafe Latte | RM12
The iced latte was okay, nothing special~
Mango Passion | RM12.90
Fufy said she had better smoothies before. I took a few sips and thought it was okay, so-so~
And that's it for this cafe hopping post! It currently the last one for this quick sem break of mine. Hopefully I'll be able to explore more cafes in the future.
As for The Daily Fix, 6% GST is already included in the menu prices and they don't charge service charge. They also have wifi inside! I'd definitely recommend this cafe but only for breakfast or brunches.
As always, thanks for watching! If you made it till the end, he're my brother twitching by the Melaka River with his "crown" as a reward hahaha
