H&M Jonker Building, Jonker Street, Melaka, Malaysia

Hi guys, today I'll be posting about Malaysia's newest H&M outlet located in Jonker Street, Melaka!

Melaka is home to one of Malaysia's two UNESCO Heritage sites (the other one being Penang). Although there's already an H&M store in Hatten Square, H&M made the strategic decision to open another store in the heritage area!

The shop takes up the entire Jonker Building and reminded me of the H&M in Orchard, Singapore (although Orchard's one is bigger ofc).

Unfortunately I wasn't able to go to the grand opening a few weeks back. I had to start my internship in KL :( as with other H&M openings, they offered vouchers to the first few customers and a chance to win a RM500 voucher usable only on that day.

After visiting the shop with my sister, I found that although the building looks big, it's not really anything to rave about. The interior's size kinda matches that of 1st Avenue in Penang.

I took quick videos on Snapchat to make as GIFs, but I couldn't rotate them fml. Here's a couple of shots inside:

  

The best part of the shops are the white curtains to be honest hahaha. On the 3rd floor (and 2nd as well, I think) there are windows overlooking the Melaka River and they're the perfect OOTD space!

There weren't any new stuff in store and you can basically find everything that's there in any othet H&M store in Malaysia. Maybe in the future they'll have exclusive launches?
