One more step towards their aim for dominating the music scene of the world.
A video of Girls’ Generation’s “Tell Me Your Wish” (better known as “Genie”) performance at the SM Town concert in France on June 10th received over 1,500,000 views on Youtube for the period of June 12th-13th, making it the most-viewed video around the world.
The recorded performance was also the mst viewed video in Canada, Australia, United Kingdom, France, Italy, and 20 other countries, ample evidence that the K-Pop (or Hallyu) wave has began to spread beyond Europe to the rest of the world, after the Paris SM Town concert.
Together with netizens who directly viewed the video via YouTube, Girls’ Generation’s “Tell Me Your Wish” performance video has also been viewed through smartphones, in addition to being spread across various portal sites and channels.
Notable was the fact that many views were from North America, Canada, Australia, Europe, the Middle East, as well as Asian countries.
Some statistics that emerged were that females who viewed the performance video ranged in age from 13 to 24 years, while the males were mainly in the 45 to 54 age group range.
Korean viewer fans consisted of females not yet in their 20′s and samchon fans in their 30′s or older.
Well, it looks like the oldies are still the goodies here when it comes to making new SONES around the world .Congratulations ladies !!!
