Belif Youth Creator Age Knockdown Bomb Review

Hi guys, today I'll be sharing my review of Belif's Youth Creator Age Knockdown Bomb.

I think a lot of people tend to steer clear from anti-ageing products since most of the anti-ageing products out there tend to be very thick and oily. There's also this notion that you only need to start using anti-aging products once you've hit a certain age. The truth is: it doesn’t matter if you are 25 or 40; everyone needs a multi-function anti-ageing serum that effectively fights off the signs of ageing while giving your skin additional benefits! This is even more important if you live in the city – the harmful urban environment is full of unseen skin aggressions and pollution, which wreak havoc on your complexion

One of my biggest skin concerns is ageing, so I've very dedicated to using the best products that'll help preserve my youth and help keep the symptoms of ageing from showing as long as possible. I think prevention is definitely better than cure, and I've been incorporating more anti-ageing products into my routine since last year.

belif recently expanded their iconic belif bomb family with an anti-aging serum designed to “K.O. your age”, and today I'll be sharing with you guys all about it!

WHAT IS IT

belif's Youth Creator Age Knockdown Bomb is a total anti-ageing serum for essential daily care, featuring a unique sticky-free texture for a fresh application every time. It helps to improve skin elasticity, prevent skin warming (which causes premature ageing) and has antioxidant effects against ageing caused by an urban environment.

The Youth Creator Age Knockdown Bomb is clinically proven to reduce the length of enlarged pores from ageing by 19.2%, reduce the appearance of enlarged pores by 46.1%, as well as increase skin’s elasticity by 18.5%. It contains L-serine, a natural amino acid that delivers a gentle peeling effect to boost radiance and minimize the look of elongated pores & a unique Age Down Formula containing 3 natural active ingredients to protect the skin from the environment.

The Youth Creator Age Knockdown Bomb will be available from April onwards on THE FACE SHOP's e-store here in Malaysia for RM288. It contains 50ml worth of product.

PACKAGING

The product comes packaged in an oval pump buttle with a similar style as their other bomb cream products.

It dispenses product quite easily with the built-in pump, but I do wish that the bottle was slightly transparent (like belif's Prime Infusion ampoules) so that I could see how much product I have left.

INGREDIENTS

This product contains quite a long long list of ingredients. Most of them have an EWG green/yellow-level rating, meaning they're clean and very unlikely to irritate the skin

This product is paraben-free, sulfate-free, alcohol-free & EU allergen-free. It contains Liquorice Root Extract which is good for fighting off acne as well as brightening it. It also contains Panthenol & Centella Asiatica Leaf Extract (good for promoting wound healing) as well as Ceramide & Adenosine (anti-ageing ingredients). People with dry skin will also enjoy using this product because it contains highly moisturizing ingredients like Panthenol, Beta-Glucan, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin & Propylene Glycol. 

belif's Age Knockdown Bomb also features Napier’s original anti-oxidant formula, made from a healthy combination of plants (Oat Seed, Calendula, Catnip, Raspberry Leaf, Wild Indigo and Chickweed).

As I mentioned above, this product features a unique Age Down Formula that contains three natural active ingredients to protect skin’s firming energy from the environment:

1. Cedrol - Obtained from the sap of cedarwood, it increases collagen and elastin production for visibly plumper, firmer skin.

2. Winter Aster - Contains chlorogenic acid, a well-known antioxidant that also has anti-inflammatory and healing benefits.

3. Water Pennywort - Also known in China as the “miracle elixir of life”. Has powerful collagen and elastin regeneration properties.

FRAGRANCE & TEXTURE

This product is gold in colour and has a natto-like texture. 

Made with an algae-derived Gel Matrix, it helps to immediately boost the skin’s elasticity. The scent is similar to the Prime Infusion ampoules (fragrant and slightly citrusy), and it really does feel super comfy on the skin. It absorbs pretty quickly after I apply it and doesn't feel heavy or sticky at all.

HOW TO USE

I use this product after toner before moisturizer.

Cleanser - Toner - Serum - Moisturizer - Sunblock/Sleeping mask

After cleansing and toning, I massage 2 pumps of the serum evenly into skin. I usually massage it in an upwards motion, and once it's absorbed, I use a face roller to further lift my face.

According to belif, you can also incorporate this serum into their other skincare lines for different skincare effects:

Age Knockdown Bomb + Peat Miracle = Revitalize dehydrated skin with early signs of ageing

Age Knockdown Bomb + Prime Infusion = Amplify anti-ageing care for sensitive skin

Age Knockdown Bomb + Aqua/Moisturizing Bomb = For intensive hydration & moisture

MY VERDICT AND REVIEW

As I mentioned, I use anti-ageing products more as a preventive step. I don't really have any wrinkles to speak of, so I can't say much about that.

I can, however, talk about the moisturizing & pore-shrinking properties of this serum.I really love how moisturizing and hydrating this serum is. It plumps my skin very well during the day and night without feeling heavy at all, and I love how glowy it makes my skin look as well. If you're someone looking for something that will really boost your skin's moisture levels + make it soft and bouncy, I recommend trying this out.

As for the pore aspect, my only pore-blem area (get it?) is around my smile lines. I don't know why but recently my pores there have been quite enlarged. After I started using this serum, I realized that they did look smaller + went back to their previous un-inflamed size.

I think it made my skin look overall amazing, and its an added bonus that the texture + fragrance are just as nice. I think this serum would be perfect for someone who wants to add a comfortable anti-ageing product to their routine that will help maintain your skin + give it a nice glow

WILL I REPURCHASE?

Since it is quite expensive, it's definitely an investment. Personally, I like investing in my skin because I feel that my skin is my biggest asset. I would not mind repurchasing this again when I go through the entire 50ml bottle because I really like how it works for me.
